Walking has given us so much more energy and we feel so much better now. I try to walk at least 15 minutes in the morning before work. Then at 10 noon and 3 and also evenings if I fall short during the day or just have time and opportunity. I stay motivated because of the buddy system. We have done this as a team and we keep each other motivated.
We like the Walkingspree program because of the accountability and ease of keeping on track. It lets you see what you have actually done (or not).
We were both overweight and having issues with blood sugar, blood pressure, high cholesterol and knee problems. My doctor was going to put me on medication. That was my motivation to get started. After only 2 months he told me to keep up what I was doing and that was that. Exercise and a good diet are doing wonders for us, and it is relatively easy. It is an ongoing journey and we are enjoying the trip.
