Customer Support Technician Required

WalkingSpree.com is a new and exciting online wellness company that is combining fitness and technology in a fun and motivating way. WalkingSpree.com’s internet technology creates a rich, interactive experience where members can gain vitality and lose weight. Our online health & well-being coaches, give members a complete lifestyle management solution, monitoring member’s activity and nutrition.

Members track their activity using The Pocket PedometerTM - a smart pedometer that uploads activity related data to the member’s profile online through a USB connection. This pedometer is highly accurate and can even be worn in the pocket.

WALKINGSPREE.com requires a full time CUSTOMER SUPPORT TECHNICIAN to join our community.

Ideally you'll be able to:

Answer phones and respond to email customer requests via a support desk ticket system as well as provide administrative support to account managers.

  • Identify, research, and resolve customer issues using the WalkingSpree program -- this includes technical support related questions
  • Provide customers with product and service information.
  • Transfer customer calls to appropriate staff.
  • Follow-up on customer inquires not immediately resolved.
    - follow up with those who have not activated their accounts
    - activation related items
    - respond/forward/monitor web based issues on site
  • Complete call logs and reports.
  • Recognize, document and alert the supervisor of trends in customer calls.
  • Recommend process improvements.
  • Assist in office administrative duties that may include account mangement support and content placement on the website.
  • Occasionally sell product via phone and place customer orders in computer system.
  • Upsell products and services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

* Must be able to understand the various pathways our members come from. Consumers, as well as corporations, will be using this system for employees, as an alternative and in addition to, subsidized gym membership and other health benefits.

* Must be self-disciplined to be able to WORK FROM HOME with defined hours.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide on-the-job training for new employees.
  • Generate customer thank you letters.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Computer literate with the ability to learn customer service software applications. Professional verbal and written communication skills
Very strong computer skills required. Familiarity with firewalls, anti-virus software, spyware software. Understanding troubleshooting in Win 2000, XP and Vista environments.
Very strong internet skills. Must be familiar with multiple browsers, IE and Mozilla based, cookies and other common internet related problems.
Basic web (html) and photo editing skills (Dreamweaver, photoshop).
Ability to type at least 30 wpm.
Ability to multi task.
