I am a Registered and Licensed Dietitian and a certified personal trainer through AFAA and NASM and is a certified group exercise instructor through AFAA. I haven taken numerous courses on injury prevention and injury rehabilitation. My health and fitness moto is, "The quality of life far surpasses the quantity of life.".

ShahindaShahinda Ali

The journey to health began for me about 14 years ago when after being stationed in Norway for six months I gained more than 10kgs! Being 24 at the time I panicked. Running, walking and eventually joining a gym got me back into shape. It was then that my love of Group fitness began. As I virtually lived at the gym attending all classes, I decided it was time to learn the fundamentals of exercise to avoid future injury out of ignorance. Along with 5 other ladies, we were the first Egyptians to be certified by ACE, first time in Egypt. Thinking it was just for my personal knowledge, I eventually got lured into teaching Group Fitness classes alongside my full time job. After marriage, my husband whisked me to Calgary, Canada and after getting certified by AFLCA started teaching at the U of C, a private club and now at Gold’s Gym Canada. Being a Mum of two very active children(what else would you expect of embryos who had 9 months of impact aerobics until birth?), my goal is to keep healthy to be able to keep up with them and be there for them as they grow. Step by Step. My name is Shahinda and I am a coach with WalkingSpree. It is an honour to be a part of a network that strives towards health, fitness and happiness. I personally will strive to be there for you to achieve your goals.
