Greg Isaacs

Greg Isaacs"I am thrilled that WalkingSpree.com is delivering a robust, automated and interactive program that compliments the basic message of my book — that you can walk your way to better health."

With over 20 years of experience and as an accomplished athlete, coach and fitness trainer, Greg Isaacs is one of the most recognized names in the health industry. He has made a career of translating his physical ability and mental focus into helping others achieve success through training, motivational speaking and group and individual consulting. He has become one of the most sought-after "fitness trainers to the stars," and was recently named by Men's Journal Magazine as one of the Top 100 Trainers in the U.S.

A South African born triathlete, Isaacs grew up in Westport, Connecticut, attended college in California and began his upward path to stardom by training 80s fitness guru Kathy Smith. That eventually led to his training a 17-year-old Brooke Shields, and then later to Don Johnson (at the height of his "Miami Vice" fame). Since that time, Isaacs has become well known for his results-driven work with A-list celebrities. In is Fit for Films private training program, he works one-an-one with actors to help them prepare for film roles by designing a specific workout and nutritional program to help them transform their bodies and create the specific physical characteristics required for their project. Among those he has helped to appropriately bulk up or slim down for the big screen include Russell Crowe (A Beautiful Mind), Pierce Brosnan ("007 James Bond" films), and Elizabeth Berkley (Striptease), among others.

Isaacs is also the author of the best-selling book, The Ultimate Lean Routine (Summit Publishing, 1996) which was endorsed by Arnold Schwartzenegger, Clint Eastwood, Melanie Griffith and bodybuilder, Joe Weider. In 2001, he built on the success of the book by launching a companion infomercial and product line called The Lean Routine which drew over $30 million in sales including those on QVC and Shop at Home networks.

Perhaps most associated with his fitness training, Isaacs' accomplishments extend beyond the physical. Along with Clint Eastwood, he created the award-winning 10,000-square-foot corporate fitness center on the Warner Brothers studio lot in Burbank, California. He also designed the workout facilities at Las Vegas' Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and the Time/Warner Resort in Acapulco, and was recruited to consult with EQUINOX Fitness Clubs as the popular New York chain expanded into California. While National Director of Training Development for LA Fitness, Isaacs oversaw the private training of their 70 locations and 600 private trainers, educating them on innovative programs, protocol and techniques. Always at the forefront of fitness, in 2003 Isaacs opened the visionary fitness studio CSF 360, offering innovative group exercise and body transformational programs involving the disciplines of Cardio, Strength and Flexibility. Greg has joined the management team of GYMp3, which has launched an innovative new line of audio workouts designed for Mp3 players, combining music and motivation to give consumers the chance to take Isaacs and other top celebrity trainers along when they exercise, whether it's in the gym or outdoors.

Greg Isaacs holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of California at San Diego, and is both NCCPT and NASM certified. He resides in Los Angeles, California with his wife Diane (a film producer and fellow triathlete), and their two sons.
