Measureable Outcomes
The advanced Walkingspree USB pedometer provides the most accurate step count available today. This accelerometer pedometer also accurately tracks aerobic steps, calories burned, fat reduced and tells time. It even tells you how far you’ve walked. Then it stores these figures for six weeks.

Easy, Accurate Measurement
Walkingspree eliminates the need for self-reporting which can sometimes be inflated. Employees just plug in the USB cable and run the auto-upload program for accurate tracking of their activity achievements. It’s quick and easy. With valid measurements, your program can create competitions, provide meaningful rewards and maintain engagement.
Accurate steps translate into measurable results, better employee buy-in and energized participation. That means a physical activity program is sustainable for the long term.
Walking Clubs & Competitions
Walkingspree creates walking clubs, teams and competitions to motivate and engage your people. Coworkers can see who’s at the top in friendly “Leaderboards.” Regional or department leaders can motivate their teams for bragging rights and team prizes. Clubs can complete a virtual walk, race from one office to another, or join together to see how fast your company can “walk to the moon.”
Social Networking
Your people can make their own fun when they send teasing messages to their friends via the rich Walkingspree social networking system. Employees can connect with each other via teams, clubs and buddies, boast in their blogs, post wall comments and give ‘gifts’ to friends on their profile page.
The Walkingspree built-in fun results in strong enrollment (often greater than 50%) and very low drop-out rates. Fun, community and support are reasons why Walkingspree participation rates are the highest in the business.
Personal Encouragement
Winning is fun, but not everyone is motivated by competition. Co-workers have the biggest influence on their peers. That’s why Walkingspree built the ‘buddy system’ where a coworker can check on a friend and offer encouragement and motivation. Walkingspree weekly messages are geared for meaningful fun. Participants are motivated to walk even more when they learn they’ve already walked “more than two million steps or roughly from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Grand Canyon.” The result is positive employee engagement and increased motivation.
Food Tracker & Weight Management
Your employees can easily track food consumption, weight loss and more. Participants rave about the Walkingspree Food Tracker. If you want to lose weight, you need to eat healthier as well as walk. That’s why Walkingspree has a database of 65,000 foods, including fast foods. You can discover how many steps you need to burn off a food item or meal. And if your employees are looking for a healthy meal, they can search up to 7,000 recipes. The Food Tracker offers weight management support for your participants.
Intelli-Messaging
Walkingspree doesn’t simply deliver general broadcast messages. Instead, ‘intelli-messaging’ sends out regular messages with individual statistics. We congratulate those who achieve 10,000 steps a day with highlights of their current and past achievements. Seasonal activity tips and nutrition suggestions are also included. Participants often tell us the Walkingspree weekly messages motivated them to walk even more. For the few who become inactive, Walkingspree sends them encouraging reminders, and asks if they need support to get back on track.
Visual Tools
Walkingspree visual tools graphically show personal step data. Challenge Trackers visually represent your (or a team’s) progress in a competition. Walkingspree technology combines Google Maps with personal or team data to create virtual walks such as ‘Walk to the Super Bowl,’ ‘Grand Canyon Walk” or an original walk to fit your company culture.

Software as a Service (Saas)
Walkingspree is a Software as a Service platform (SaaS) and all required software is stored on the Walkingspree online system, not your corporate computers. This allows us to implement quickly and scale for your employee base. Employees simply download a mini client application file (PC and MacOS) on their computers and they are ready to go. Walkingspree has undergone rigid security testing and even security-conscious clients such as defense contractors and government agencies have approved the HIPAA-compliant Walkingspree software.
Walkingspree is the first to provide MacOS software for the Omron HJ720IT pedometer.
